Five England stars who we need to watch for the rest of the World Cup

Daniel Sturridge The World Cup has kicked off, the wall chart is hanging in the living room, the beers are chilling in the fridge, and someone has thrown a rock at Adrian Chiles.

Yes, that’s right, the World Cup is well away, and after seeing England take on Italy for their first game of the tournament, we have certainly come away with a few things to think about. Some players were downright poor and others shone brightly.

Despite the defeat, there are a few positives to take from it and here are my five England players who we need to watch if we want to get back to winning ways – and more importantly out of that group.

There’s a lot to feel pleased about going into the World Cup.

We’re sure not the favourites to win it, but this is a team that whenever they return to England, we hope they are able to do it with pride.

For the first time in a long time, the majority of fans can’t wait to watch England at the World Cup.
