Wenger set for £100 million spending spree

Arsenal fans are looking up from the TV screens after one of our Footyettes tells us about the latest claim they read in the Daily Mail.

Reportedly, it has been claimed that Arsene Wenger is set for a £100 million spending spree this summer.

To the normally frugal Wenger, that is a huge amount of money and we think that there could be at least one top player and a couple of other stars arriving at the club come the end of the transfer window.

Wenger has only just signed a new three year deal to remain at the club and is targeting a host of players including a forward, with Karim Benzema thought to be on the list, not to mention a defender to fill the shoes of outgoing right back Bacary Sanga who like a fair few before him, seems Manchester bound.

Arsenal’s manager – who managed to lead them to the FA Cup after nine years in the wilderness – claimed that not only do players want to join the club, but they are able to afford the top ones.
