After failing to make any progress of note this season following their title challenge last term, Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool are looking to make big changes this summer and it seems Dani Alves could well be one of their big summer signings.
The right back is out of contract come the end of the season and there are reports in the Spanish press that Alves has confirmed his departure from Barcelona.
The Brazilian defender has often been linked with a move to the Premier League and it is thought that pastures new appeal to him.
Manchester United are keen on the defender – and given the state of their back four, it is little wonder, but Liverpool are the latest club to throw their hat in the ring – and are willing to offer Alves £150,000 per week to beat the competition.
Alves is available on a free, so that would negate some of the wages, and with Glen Johnson also being off the books come the summer, this could well be a cracking deal for the Reds.
