Liverpool’s season rests on the FA Cup

Football is fated. I don’t care what people say, certain things are written in the stars and pre ordained.

Chelsea winning in Munich was one of them. Liverpool in Istanbul was another. United in 1999, the list is endless. Sometimes you have to look at something and know that it was going to happen no matter what.

The FA Cup feels like that this season, with the final on Steven Gerrard’s birthday and Liverpool throwing their lot in to win the trophy – not that they have any other choice. The Reds think their name is written on the trophy. It seems that is the case. Please God, please, prove me wrong.
