Didier Drogba is a lion among men. Seriously. Chelsea fans adore the forward and rightly so, but he is 37 years old now and should NEVER have to play 95 minutes in a top flight game.
That is not Drogba’s fault, far from it, and while he has obviously declined from the forward who was once the best in the world, he still has enough about him to hold the ball up and defend from corners when his team needs him.
That being said, come the summer Mourinho and Chelsea HAVE to buy another forward and with Costa clearly broken not to mention Loic Remy simply a poor man’s third choice, the Blues have to strengthen that forward line. Not by giving Drogba a new deal, but by bringing in another player and making Drogba a full time coach and getting that statue built. Henry has one at the Emirates and I am yet to see his Champions League trophy with the Gunners.
