After the way their season ended last term, not to mention the fact they lost their best player in the summer, you can forgive the Liverpool players for struggling with their confidence at the start of the campaign.
Add to that the fact that a couple of their new recruits were finding their feet (admittedly some are yet to do so even now) you can understand why things stuttered.
Now they are on fire, with key players coming back from injury and finding form and some massive results showing them that they can compete with the best in the league and they do not have to fear anyone. There is real belief around the squad now that they can go on and finish in that top four again and even whispers of beating Manchester City to that second place.
