You cannot blame the fans for protesting and booing the side – not to mention calling for Lambert’s head, but now they need to get behind the club and make sure they are supporting the team.
The players are struggling enough as it is without the fans providing a toxic atmosphere and making sure that they do everything possible to encourage the players is vital.
Sherwood needs to not only prove that he can deliver the results but try and play some football that the fans are not cracking open the Red Bull in order to stay awake through. Maybe then the terraces will begin to cheer for the club again.
