Five players who are KEY to Liverpool’s season

Dreams of the title may be fading with each passing game but those in the red half of Merseyside are still hopeful of not only a top four finish but giving Chelsea a run for their money to boot.

Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers came about as close as you can get to the Premier League title last season but missed out and it seems that their one big chance could be down the drain.

Whilst their season is not quite in the levels of crisis certain sections of the media would have you believe, it is not going to plan and to say Rodgers has an eye on the January transfer window is a bit of an understatement.

However, Liverpool spent big this summer and have stars in the squad who need to deliver if they want to keep their Champions League status – and we think they are more than capable of doing just that.
