Henderson came of age last season alongside Steven Gerrard, but needs to become the main man this term.
Now a starter for club and country, there are no excuses when it comes to putting in top performances week in week out.
His range of passing and vision is getting to be top class and if he manages to add goals to that as well, Henderson could well be an even bigger player for the Reds.
Gerrard’s career is winding down now and last season seems to have taken a fair bit out of the club skipper – and it is time for Henderson to show he can be the successor to the man in the middle.
