Four goals in six days is a pretty good record for anyone to boast – even the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo would be impressed with that, but for a 36 year old who was let go by his former club last summer, it is astounding.
Not only did Frank Lampard manage to net the equalising goal against Chelsea of all sides, he then followed that up with two goals in the Capital One Cup midweek and came of the bench to safeguard three points for Manchester City against Hull.
He is fast becoming a cult hero in the blue half of Manchester and looking at the reactions from Chelsea fans, whilst they are hurt, they still seem to love one of their greatest ever players and all time top goalscorer – even if he is doing his best to lead his new side to all the trophies they are directly competing with Chelsea for.
Take a bow Super Frank, you are the Player of the Week!
