Neymar BrazilPicking five players from a side be it an international one or indeed a domestic one and tipping them to shine in a competition seems pretty standard practice these days.

However, we defy anyone, no matter how good they are at doing this to pick only five names from the Brazilian squad ahead of their opening game in the World Cup.

They are of course on home soil and would be most people’s favourites to get to the final providing they do not choke that is.

With an array of talent so fierce that any defence in the world would quake when reading the team sheet, the quality possessed by Luiz Felipe Scolari’s men is undeniable.

There are a host of recognisable faces with Chelsea well represented in the picks and the likes of Kaka and Robinho not even making the stand-by list.

It has been hard, but we have managed to narrow it down to five players who have to shine in order for Brazil to do well this summer – and there might be a couple of surprises in there as well.
