Manchester United in pole position to land coveted Shaw
Luke Shaw looks set to be on his way to Manchester United if the Star on Sunday are to be taken at face value.
The defender has been linked with not only the Red Devils but also Chelsea in a season of speculation after his fine form.
However despite boyhood club Chelsea and Jose Mourinho pushing to land Shaw, the left back looks set to be on his way to Old Trafford.
Not only that, but the Saints can expect a huge payday given the way Shaw’s star has risen this season – and things could get even better should the young player get a chance to impress in Brazil this summer at the World Cup.
Chelsea are resigned to losing the race for Shaw and have considered not only handing a new deal to Ashley Cole but also La Liga star Alberto Moreno who has been a long term target for the Blues.
We think that Shaw would be ideal for Manchester United – and quite why Chelsea are even considering spending big money on a left back when they have both Cole and the flawless Cesar Azpilicueta remains to be seen.
