Under former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, the club had just lifted their 20th title and were one of the most feared sides around. Now, under David Moyes, they are struggling (to put it politely) and have seen their aura disappear.

The excuses are running out for Moyes – his side may have faced Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool during their opening few games, but have also dropped points against the likes of West Brom and most recently surprise package of the season thus far, Southampton.

Things have to change, and fast. Moyes may have been given the nickname ‘The Chosen One,’ but on results so far, it seems more likely that Manuel Pellegrini made that choice, not Fergie!

Fans have been quick to catch onto this and dish out their jokes – and our winner for tweet of the week certainly manages to do that! Coming courtesy of @BBCFarayi, we have a cracker that has our Footyettes in stiches.

Our new favourite tweeter had this cracker in store:

‘Arsene Wenger: Intelligent mind

Jose Mourinho: Special mind

Brendan Rodgers: Tactical mind

David Moyes: Never mind!’
