West Ham United had a rough season last year.
They spent the majority of the season darting in and around the relegation zone, which lead to a passionate stance from a large group of fans that manager Sam Allardyce had to go.
Sam survived and over the summer he and the board set about making sure history did not repeat itself this year.
An assortment of wonderful signings, as well as convincing wins against Manchester City and Liverpool have enabled West Ham to sit at the top of the league table for the majority of the season thus far.
Three games without a win (and injuries to a significant amount of key players) have dropped the Hammers to 6th, but upcoming games suggest there’s still all to play for when it comes to staying at the top this year.
