Many, many people are to blame – but Nemanja Matic is NOT one of them

Jose loves the blame game – and is incredibly good at playing it, with various people incurring his wrath – and this time he certainly has a point.

His side were very hard done by and Mourinho, who is always one to protect his players, made it very clear that Matic had good reason to lose the plot, reasoning: ‘This can be end of career. Matic is a very lucky guy. Football is about emotion and sometimes you lose emotion. Clearly Matic had reason to lose emotion.’

He also questioned if Matic should even be suspended for the next three games, including the all important League Cup final and made it very clear that Ashley Barnes is a very naughty boy who makes Diego Costa look like a choir boy raging: ‘The consequence for Matic could be end of career. When you describe Diego Costa as ‘crimes’, my English is not good enough, I do not have an adjective to describe that player [Barnes].’
