Kurt Zouma is Chelsea’s future

Chelsea have a bright future all over the field but when you consider the likes of Kurt Zouma, Ake, Tomas Kalas and Andreas Christensen, you can see why Mourinho was willing to allow Luiz to leave.

Already struggling to get game time when up against Terry and Gary Cahill, both the player and manager knew that would only become worse with the arrival of Zouma and a bid for Raphael Varane constantly being rumoured.

Chelsea have a strong future at the heart of their defence but not too many people saw Luiz in it.
