Five reasons Chelsea really are better off without David Luiz

When it comes to defending, Luiz is not your manChelsea are preparing to once again face Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League and not only do they know the Ligue 1 side quite well these days, but one of their star players is someone both the manager and the fans know inside out.

The player in question is £50 million man David Luiz, who left the Blues in the summer in a mega money transfer to one of football’s richest clubs and has not looked back.

Luiz may be one of the nicest guys in football and was certainly loved by both the Chelsea players and fans for his personality, but his actions on the field left a fair bit to be desired and even before Jose Mourinho returned to the club, there were rumours that the Brazilian’s days were numbered.

That turned out to be the case, and ahead of the reunion, here are five reasons the Blues are better off without Luiz.
