Chelsea fans are still reeling from their awful weekend and the fact that the FA are happy to take action against one of their players but not Ashley Barnes – and are not in the best of moods.
While that is fully understandable, the Blues have a rare midweek without a match and have a League Cup final at Wembley to look forward to – and need to move on from the Burnley horror show.
With that in mind, we have taken a look at five questions Chelsea fans need to be asking themselves ahead of the final third of the season if they want to make sure this is one of the best seasons in their history.
Click on suspended Nemanja Matic to see what we think the Blues need to be talking about.

Barnes and costa tackle which one deserves a 3 match barn? Why is FA so inconsistence when it comes to chelsea? The whole world is watching how english football is turning to child’s play.

Barnes and costa incident which one deserves a match barn? FA are so inconsistance when it comes to chelsea and things like this is killing football fans.I strongly belive if it was any CHELSEA player that did that so called FA would have taken action the next day.

The difference was that Martin Atkinson saw the Barnes tackle thus retrospective action couldn’t be taken. Costa’s stamp was missed. Utterly ludicrous obviously – and says a lot about Atkinson if that type of challenge is acceptable to him.

As an ex-referee (pyramid not football league) it pains me to say that the reason Martin Atkinson didn’t ‘see’ the Barnes offence was because he didn’t ‘see’ much throughout the game. Referees can miss one significant event but Atkinson missed or didn’t see 4 major events. He seemed to have no feel for what was going on and was always reacting rather than taking the initiative. His reported response to Mourinho’s questions afterwards e.g. have you spoken to your wife, friends, colleagues about a view of the events on tv? To say ‘no’ to each and all speaks of cowardice really. It’s a shame referees can’t come out and say ‘sorry, I got that wrong’.

I strongly believe Chelsea can remain formidable if they can adhere strictly to the following rules: be quick to the ball, intensify midfield defense, drop the “one goal is enough” mentality and kill games early, more accurate passes, more accurate shooting from outside and finally, higher “chance” conversion rate. They have enough talents to beat any team if only the will is there.

Watch the clip of the game again, you will see that is as if the referee as already knw what he(ma tic) is goin to do when he makes the move towards barnes and pushed him (referee)makes the move before he (ma tic) even think of doin…can’t just stop lolz at that..no matter wah it may takes, will are gona lift the EPL..I REP CHELSEAFC…Team Of Life
