Last season, they had scored more goals and won more games The stats are in and they do not make very good reading for Manchester United, their fans, players or their manager.

In fact, most people associated with the club could be forgiven for going and crawling under a table after being presented with them – everyone that is bar David Moyes who will probably be investing in an office sized photocopier and printer so he can send them out to everyone on his mailing list – and a couple of other people as well.

That being said, stats are not everything and United have actually been far better at times this term than last and most people would say that they are improving. Mind you, after buying the likes of Angel Di Maria, they should be.

With that in mind, we have taken a look at ten of the worst stats United have managed to amass this season so far.
