Five players Spain need to get into the starting eleven to get back to winning ways

Koke No one was more stunned that the Spanish themselves after the game against Holland. Well we say game, what we really mean is annihilation.

La Roja were left shell shocked. Yes, they may have thought it would be a hard game, they may have thought a point might be the end result but no one foresaw the demolition Iker Casillas and co had to play through.

It was awful. From keeper to forwards, it did not work. The Spanish media were in mourning. Marca printed a black front page. The world wondered if tiki-taka was dead.

Whilst we may not go that far, it is clear that the Spanish side needs some serious rebooting. Some players really should have made the squad and others who were on the bench should have been started – and we think that Vicente Del Bosque needs to stop selecting on name and start picking on merit.

With that in mind, here are five players who can revive La Roja for years to come.
