A win at Craven Cottage would have given Fulham decent chance of staying up.
The club did start the tie positively with goals from both Ashkan Dejagah and Fernando Amorebieta within what was a three minute burst of excitement, but Fulham switched off and Hull found their way back into the game with a Nikica Jelavic goal, his first since February.
Despite such a strong start still it was Fulham who appeared unsure and anxious perhaps sensing Hull’s increase in belief and desire.
In the last five minutes of the 90, Hull’s hard work paid off and to the dismay of the home supporters they got their equaliser.
Yet again Fulham have squandered a brilliant chance to keep themselves up and so with the match ending 2-2 there is still much work to be done but unfortunately for manager Felix Magath not many games to do it in.
