Fabio Borini – Sunderland v Newcastle

Scoring the winning goal in a derby is hardly a bad thing – not to mention when you have a new manager watching from the touchline.

Sunderland were in dire need of a win, and they duly provided Gus Poyet with one after Borini netted a late goal against bitter rivals Newcastle.

The former Liverpool player may not have been fan favourite before, but he certainly is one after that.
