Bale fails to turn up for training

BBC Sport have more than shocked us today at La Footyette headquarters as they admit that Gareth Bale has failed to report for training.

The forward, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid all summer long, has just been on a club sanctioned break to Marbella, yet has now failed to turn up for training.

Quite why Bale has refused to train with the squad remains to be seen, but given the desire of the Welshman to force through a move to the Bernabeu, it comes as no shock to us that he is now not only communicating with manager Andre Villas Boas, but also refusing to train to boot.

The famous ‘Galcaticos Podium’ has been erected at the home of Los Blancos for a couple of days now and has earned itself the nickname ‘Bale Box’ as fans and the media wait for the official unveiling of the most expensive player in the world.

Every day we hear another, more ludicrous amount banded around for the forward and now it seems Spurs and Daniel levy want even more than the £86 million we thought Bale would cost.
