The buzz around Falcao’s signing was astonishing. He is one of the best in Europe, who unfortunately picked up a dreadful injury and since arriving at Manchester United, things have not gone his way.
It is evident that Louis van Gaal does not favour the Columbine – Falcao struggles to start when first choice Robin van Persie is fit. Falcao has not been the prolific scorer many assumed he would be – when he has scored, his passion has shone through, but the goals are few and far between.
Being subbed at home against Sunderland clearly has not helped his confidence either. At this point, it doesn’t seem likely that a permanent deal will be on the cards come the summer.
