Brilliant BentekeYou could have been forgiven for thinking it was the Tim Sherwood show.

He was certainly as entertaining – if not more so – than the game itself between Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion.

That is saying something considering the game had three goals – and a last gasp penalty.

It was a huge win for Aston Villa and one that will go a long way to silencing the Sherwood doubters – especially given the manager’s decision to bench a host of key players.

That did not matter for the home side who managed to win for the first time in the Premier League under their rather animated manager and the blow to Tony Pulis and his West Brom side cannot be underestimated. Nor can the boost to Villa’s survival hopes.

With that in mind, here are five things we learnt from the game before the two sides do it all again in the FA Cup come Saturday.
