Nigel PearsonAs if it is not bad enough to be rock bottom of the Premier League table, it seems that things are getting even worse for Leicester City.

They look odds on favourites to return to the Championship come the end of their maiden season in the Premier League and have ben God awful both on and off the field.

Now it seems that no one is quite sure if they have a manager or not – or how long Nigel Pearson will actually be at the club after rumours emerged that he had been sacked by the club, who were then forced to issue a denial that anything of the sort had taken place.

Pearson has been feeling the pressure in recent weeks and after seeing him appear to place his hands around the neck of James McArthur, you could be forgiven for thinking that the walls were well and truly coming down at the King Power Stadium – and at quite the speed.

His club may decide not to act over the incident with McArthur, but the FA most certainly will – and you can only imagine if that was Jose Mourinho on an opposition player – he wouldn’t see the inside of a stadium again for months. Alan Pardew was duly punished for his head-butt and you can only imagine the length of the ban the FA are ready to hand out.

You have to assume that this is only a stay of execution for the manager – how can his players possibly respect him after this? Current league position aside, this is a shameful week for the manager and with confusion rife and moral at an all time low, staying until the end of the season is probably the very best Pearson can hope for. Leicester City meanwhile will have to face up to the fact that they are going down unless presented with a miracle.

Leicester City fans. What on earth is going on at the club? Can you avoid relegation or is it too late now? Let us know your thoughts  below, become a guest blogger or tweet us @LaFootyettes.
