The new deal could just be designed to protect BVBWhen news of Marco Reus’ new deal filtered down to Manchester United fans, there was an understandable amount of disappointment.

One of the best creative stars in world football looked odds on to leave his current club Borussia Dortmund this summer – yet decided to put pen to paper on a new deal that not only secured his future in the Bundesliga but also removed the £20 million release clause that would have made landing him an utter bargain.
