Are we too reliant on our loan stars?

When you look at the contribution from Bamford especially it is hard to disagree but that is the nature of being a club on a budget and essentially one who has to take help and players when they are offered.

There is no reason to think that Boro cannot replace these loan stars come next season with others who are just as good – or even keep hold of them for another twelve months. Promotion to the Premier League would not only open doors in terms of money but it would also be a massive lure to players who may look elsewhere otherwise.

The Championship club are not a one man team and have the likes of Kike and Vossen to get on the score sheet as well.
