Five questions for Newcastle United after their shocking weekend

Newcastle United fans saw their side taken to pieces on Saturday evening when they faced Manchester City and while most people would’ve put their money on the defending Premier League champions to pick up all three points, they would not have expected the manner of the Newcastle collapse.

After conceding a penalty before a minute had even ticked away on the clock, it was always going to be an uphill task for the Magpies but sadly for their traveling fans, the players adopted the rather defeatist attitude held by their manager and sat back and watched the deficit get worse and worse.

There really are very few positives to take from the game for the north east side and with that in mind, we have taken a look at five questions the club and fans need to ask themselves.
