Are our players good enough for where we want to be?

Looking at the likes of Alexis Sanchez, the answer would be yes, but for the vast majority of Arsenal players, they are either simply not good enough or do not perform consistently enough.

Against Monaco, there were a host of players who simply did not perform with Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker leading that lengthy list.

It is all well and good being at the top of your game for 60 minutes against the likes of Queens Park Rangers but to be considered a top player, you have to do more. You cannot just blame the manager for results like the one against Monaco – the players have an awful lot to answer for as well.
