Five points for Manchester United fans to ponder

After being held to a goalless draw at Cambridge, a replay at Old Trafford saw a much more comfortable Manchester United side in a rare midweek fixture for Louis van Gaal and his men.

An easy 3-0 win sees the Red Devils through to the next round of the FA Cup, facing Preston and given a host of their Premier League rivals have crashed out of the FA Cup, Louis van Gaal will fancy his chances of winning it.

Before that can happen attention has to turn back to the Premier League and ahead of United’s fixture against West Ham United, here are five points to ponder.
