After asking you the question of just if Harry Redknapp would make a good choice for the new Newcastle United head coach come the end of the season – knees withstanding of course – the answer was a resounding no.

He is too old, he has won too little, his tactical ability leaves you wanting and he just buys players rather than working with what he has – they were just a couple of the objections to the former Queens Park Rangers manager – and there were a couple of alternatives suggested as well, so we did what any good Footyette would do and complied a list of five potential choices for Mike Ashley to consider come the summer – that is if he has not decided that Harry Redknapp is the man for him by then!
