Boro will obviously have to score if they want to progress but keeping the Arsenal forwards out is even more vital.
The Gunners have a plethora of attacking talent and will expect to score a couple of goals at least given they are on home turf against a Championship side. With both Ayala and Kalas missing, it will be more important than ever that Gibson stands up and is counted.
Gibson will have to not only be at the top of his game, but also make sure that the rest of the Boro defence are doing their jobs – not to mention the rest of the side are putting in an almighty shift when it comes to tracking back and keeping their designated man in their sights on corners and free kicks.
