The Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool is without a doubt one of the biggest games of the Premier League calendar and this season is no exception.

Both sides are desperate for not only three points but also the pride of the city and with the January transfer window now closed, all eyes are on the rest of the season and just what each side expects.

The fans want a hotly contested game, preferably with plenty of passion and goals – and with Liverpool coming through their FA Cup tie against Bolton Wanderers, the Toffees will be looking to capitalise on their freshness and come away with all three points and show their visitors that Liverpool is blue.
