Despite his reservations Leeds boss Redfearn may have to gamble on this forward

redfearn34Leeds United have a little bit of a dilemma ahead of their weekend match against Watford.

The Whites will have to navigate their way through the game without Steve Morison, whose availability has a huge question mark over it after the midweek defeat where he hobbled off only five minutes into the second half and was replaced by January addition Edgar Cani.

Cani, who may well have been thinking he was in line for a starting berth before hearing his manager claim that he needs a little bit longer to acclimatise to life in the second tier of English football – and that other options may well represent a better option for the club.

Speaking at his press conference, manager Neil Redfearn claimed: ‘Edgar’s got to adjust to the standard of this football and the tempo of this football. It’s an unforgiving division,

‘It’s a thankless task as a lone striker, if that’s how we do play.’

That may be true and there is no doubting that Morison offers the team a great deal in terms of his overall play – which is his saving grace considering the goals are not exactly flowing for him – but handing a chance to a forward who can actually score goals might be a good idea for Redfearn to try out.
