If Sherwood is to succeed in firstly getting the managers job at Newcastle and secondly keeping it, he will have to show that his mistakes whilst at Tottenham Hotspur have been learnt from.
He was too outspoken according to many and whilst some honesty is refreshing, that much was like boarding the plank.
He will have to answer to Mike Ashley but his overriding need to get back into management and prove that it was Spurs, and not he who was the problem last season may prove the deciding factor when deciding if he will compromise on certain aspects of his ideal scenario when it comes to his next club.
