Five managerial picks for Newcastle United now Alan Pardew has left

Steve McClarenSo Newcastle United are once again managerless.

Alan Pardew walked out on the Magpies to join struggling Crystal Palace and despite being at the club for four years, many fans were pleased to see him leave.

Accusations of a lack of money to spend in the January transfer window, not to mention having no control over recruitment were major factors in Pardew’s choice to leave the north east side – and any new manager would be right to be wary as well.

Allegations of being ‘Mike Ashley’s man’ dogged Pardew and made it difficult for him to win over the fans and whilst that may well be the case with the new manager, we have taken a look at five potential men to replace Pardew at the helm – and given Steve Bruce has already ruled himself out of the job, there may be a couple of shock candidates on the list.
