Arsenal do have some young stars who deserve a chanceArsenal fans may have felt this season would be a breakout one for Joel Campbell but according to Metro that is not set to be the case.

The forward has struggled to break into the Arsenal first team and in all honesty, may have actually been better going on a season long loan away from the club as it seems that Arsene Wenger may not be willing to hand him a chance at all.

Luckily for Campbell, Swansea City are prepared to take him on loan for the second half of the season and at least allow him some first team Premier League action.

Now that probably won’t get him into the Arsenal side next season with Danny Welbeck, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud all contesting those forward spots – but it would at least put him in the shop window for other clubs come the summer transfer market and give him a chance at really showing what he can do.

It would also be a massive coup for Swansea who could well do with some added fire power up top but there is no doubt it represents a huge blow for the forward who really saw this season as his chance to prove himself to both Wenger and the fans.

Arsenal fans. Is failing to give Campbell a chance just the latest in the line of bad decisions and missed opportunities by Wenger? Let us know your thoughts below or tweet us @LaFootyettes.

I think Arsene Wenger play a fair game to these young players, the player in question says, his chance will come and he will show it. I think he has been talking to other young players at Arsenal and some senior players and was give a good advise unlike the advise from sports reporters who have never get involved in coaching or playing football. Some advise from other players is the way forward for Campbell. Wenger says he is in his plans and Campbell is very happy at Arsenal, although he want to play, he knows his chance will come and he will grab that chance. I know Arsene Wenger need the young boy very well, he has discovered some technics from the young boy. He is not panicking at all.
