With talk of Chelsea running away with the title this season, Sunderland showed Premier League clubs just how to subdue the leaders.
Poyet’s men kept focused allowing Chelsea to eventually wear themselves out. With only a measly 35 percent of the possession, the Black Cats still managed to get three shots on target knowing that perhaps only one needed to go in to make them victorious.
An impressive performance by midfielder Lee Cattermole, who never stopped tackling and blocking shots, went a long way to earning Sunderland their point though some may argue they should have gone away with all three.
