Steve Bruce believed he was ‘due a win’ against Manchester United this weekend, but it was not to be.

United faced Hull at home, winning comfortably, and maintaining their position in the top four.

Louis van Gaal may not be pleased about how busy the upcoming festive period will be, but the manager is on the right path at present.

In fact, given they are out of the Capital One Cup and are not in the Champions League, United have it easier than most of their rivals.
