Five reasons Chelsea can take heart from their loss to Newcastle

Chelsea were eight points clear and planning their open topped bus parade for when the title came to west London in May – but now after dropping five points in the north east, the Blues are three points clear at the top of the Premier League and Manchester City are hot on their heels.

Now Jose Mourinho may claim that any other club would like to be in their position – and is probably correct to do so – but there is no denying that Chelsea’s procession to the title is faltering somewhat.

That being said, Manchester City are struggling with an injury to Sergio Aguero and Chelsea have now played nearly all the so called ‘big’ away games this season and only dropped nine points so far, so it is not all doom and gloom for the Blues and Jose Mourinho.
