Five Liverpool players who have been the BIGGEST FLOPS of 2014

This time last season, things were going all too well for Liverpool. Roll on twelve months and the Reds are in dire straights.

Their summer spending failed in the most dramatic of ways and manager Brendan Rodgers has gone from hero to zero.

Not only did the club lose their star forward Luis Saurez but they have seen his replacements fail to impress – and that is being pretty generous.

Add to that the fact that the Liverpool defence is worse than ever and you can see how the season has panned out for the club who now sit miles behind league leaders Chelsea and will struggle to make the top four this season.

With that in mind, we have put our heads together and come up with five players who should have done better this season.
