United are set for a quiet January

According to recent rumours United manager Louis van Gaal will NOT be making any January signings unless key targets become available.

Due to a shaky start to the season where United have only won four times from 11 games, supporters were expecting another expensive transfer window but may now be disappointed.

Apparently Van Gaal wishes to wait until the main window in the summer when big influential players tend to enter the market.

Reassuringly, considering United’s weak defence and multiple injuries this season, if the Dutchman chooses to bring in a player then it is believed the club have set aside a sizeable war chest.
