It has been a running joke for many years that Manchester United have refs on their side – namely Howard Webb!
But Oliver was pulling out his yellow card left, right and centre for Manchester United players.
It seemed greatly inconsistent during the first half, when City players should have been booked for the same kinds of challenges.
But United fans breathed a sigh of relief when Oliver did not grant a penalty for a challenge on Yaya Toure right at the end of the first half.
It wouldn’t be a Manchester derby without a sending off – and the man in question was Chris Smalling.
Two poor challenges saw two yellows and the eventual red. Smalling certainly isn’t anyone’s favourite player at the moment!
