The international break is always a good time to take stock of a season and it seems that Real Madrid fans will be happier than most.

After a somewhat shaky start, they are flying, leading La Liga and well into the next round of the Champions League to boot.

After slipping behind Barcelona at the start of the season, Carlo Ancelotti’s men have pulled it back and after winning El Clasico and seeing both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid drop more points, they are sitting pretty at the top of the league.
