Five reasons Manchester United HAVE to buy Miranda

Manchester United have once again been linked with a £20 million move for Atletico Madrid defender Joao Miranda and after seeing their make shift back four struggle against an inept Arsenal side, the January transfer window cannot come soon enough.

Louis van Gaal may have claimed that he will not make any purchases unless one of his top targets becomes available but we think that given the £24 million buyout clause in the contract of Miranda, a little bit of gentle persuading could see United land their man.

Miranda is a Spanish Champion and has broken into the Brazilian national team – and has a fair few admirers in world football.
