Five reasons it has all gone WRONG for Tottenham Hotspur this season

It is not the manager - it is the playersAt the start of each season, there are few fans more hopeful – or more deluded, it just depends on how you look at it – that those of Tottenham Hotspur.

The north London side seem to harbour initial hopes of the title, drop these quickly to the top four and then come November time, seem to focus on searching for a new manager to replace their current one when he is inevitably sacked and finally, settle on hopefully finishing above Arsenal. Or just beating them in a derby.

That final hope seems to be still on the cards this term with the Gunners just as bad, if not worse than their neighbours, but for the perennially underachieving Spurs, it is simply not good enough.

With that in mind, we have put our heads together to come up with five reasons it has all gone wrong for the Lilywhites this season.

Click on Roberto Soldado to see where it has gone so wrong this season.

SIMPLE MANAGER NOT GOOD ENOUGH, TO MANY PLAYERS BOUGHT LAST SEAON THEN TRY TO CHANGE THE STYLE OF PLAY OVERNIGHT NO CHANCE AND THIS IS THE WORST FOOTBALL AT THE LANE FOR MANY YEARS OK HE DONE OK AT SOUTHAMPTON BUT THAT WAS WITH A VERY YOUNG SQUAD AND THEY DID PLAY PRETTY FOOTBALL, NOW HIS STYLE IS CALLED CLUELESS NO SHAPE NOT PATTERN AND NO HOPE SEE SIMPLE PLAY TO OUR STRENGHTS NOT LIKE HEADLESS CHICKENS AND FINALY SQUAD ROTATION IS NOT WORKING AND TO MANY GOOD PLAYERS LEFT OUT EACH WEEK AND SOME GOOD ONES SOLD

Wonder where you were a couple of seasons ago when commentators like you said Bale was the only Spur that made that one-man-team worthwhile? Just funny how these “lazy” players have been going through double training sessions every day since Poch arrived. And the money that was “flushed” was all on players performing well at their former clubs — and will come right again once they have been moved on, if Tottenham hasn’t ruined them for good.
