It DOES take new managers time to adaptManchester United fans are taking stock of their season so far and it seems that whilst things have not been quite as bad as last term – in their eyes at least – the club still has a long way to go before it gets back to its former glory.

After the decades of dominance under Sir Alex Ferguson, we think that it is only natural to take a dip and the fact that United have seen a massive influx of money in their rival sides hasn’t helped either.

They might profess to be a second half of the season side and at the minute the fans will be praying it picks up after Christmas so they can get into that top four – but when we reflect on the first few months of the season, it has gone wrong for United and here is why.
