However, to bring in a forward who has contributed nothing in terms of goals in the league and a whole heap of headlines that do not reflect so well on the club to boot, it is safe to say Rodgers has failed.

This winter, he needs to bring in a forward who can take the pressure off Mario Balotelli and preferably score some goals as well.
