Five reasons Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has been the star of the show

To be called the best defender in the Chelsea side is quite an achievement given how tight the likes of John Terry and co keep their back four, but to be hailed as the best defender in all of the Premier League is something else entirely, but that is just what Cesar Azpilicueta has been called.

The Chelsea full back has been excellent this season, actually improving on last term where he was pretty much untouchable and has made it virtually impossible for summer signing Filipe Luis to even get into the Chelsea side.

Even a three game ban was not enough to see the Spaniard dropped with Jose Mourinho seeing him as close to his main man as it is possible to be in modern football. Of course, the Special One was rewarded for installing Azpi straight back into his starting line up with his performance against Liverpool and it showed once again why he is so vital to Chelsea.
